We get things right. When we don’t, we say so.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

The Central Bulletin is committed to publishing accurate, verifiable information. When errors occur, we correct them promptly, transparently, and without burying the record.

What Qualifies as a Correction

A correction is issued when:

  • A factual claim in an article is incorrect (wrong figure, wrong date, wrong name, wrong attribution)
  • A quote is inaccurately reproduced or attributed
  • A headline materially misrepresents the content of the article
  • A source is misidentified or mischaracterised

Corrections are not issued for editorial judgements, differences of opinion, or stylistic choices.

How We Handle Corrections

Step 1: Verification
When an error is reported to us, we investigate the claim before making any change. We verify the correct information through independent sources before publishing an update.

Step 2: Correction Note
Once verified, the article is updated. A clearly marked correction note is appended to the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when. The correction note is never hidden.

Step 3: Transparency
We do not silently edit articles. Any substantive change to published content is noted at the bottom of the article with a timestamp.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not delete published articles to erase errors
  • We do not edit articles silently without a correction notice
  • We do not remove correction notices once added

How to Report an Error

If you believe an article contains an error, contact us at:
info@thecentralbulletin.com — Subject: Correction Request

Please include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and the evidence supporting the correction. We aim to respond within 48 hours.

Complaints About Editorial Decisions

If your concern is about an editorial decision rather than a factual error, please contact the editor directly at the same address. All complaints are reviewed by the editorial team.
