TCB Internship Programme
Unpaid by design. Here is why.
Our internships are unpaid, and we say that first so nobody wastes your time or ours. It is a filter, not an oversight. We want people who are here for the craft: the byline and the portfolio. If your first question is what it pays, this is not the right programme, and that is completely fine. If you want real work in a real newsroom and you are willing to put in the hours for the experience, keep reading.

Editorial Intern for News Writing
Write news stories under editor guidance on the crypto, AI, and digital finance beat. Real stories and real bylines from a newsroom that publishes daily.
- Genuine interest in crypto, AI, or digital finance
- Clear, concise writing with attention to accuracy
- Journalism, communications, or finance background helps but is not required
- At least 10 hours per week

SEO and Content Research Intern
Support our SEO work with keyword research and competitor gap analysis, and help turn the findings into content briefs. Hands on experience inside a fast publishing news operation.
- Basic grasp of SEO: keywords, on page factors, search intent
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and structured research
- Curiosity about why some articles rank and others do not
- At least 10 hours per week

Social Media and Community Intern
Help grow TCB on X, LinkedIn, and Telegram. Draft posts and thread scripts from TCB articles, and track what performs.
- Active on X or LinkedIn with a feel for what performs in finance or tech
- Sharp writing that cuts a complex idea to one line
- Comfortable reading basic analytics: impressions, reach, follower growth
- At least 8 hours per week

Research and Data Intern
Support TCB’s proprietary data products: ETF flow tracking, DeFi metrics, and miner stress indicators. Collect and clean data and help build dashboards that feed our research briefs.
- Comfortable with Excel, Google Sheets, or Python
- Interest in crypto markets, ETFs, or macro data
- Willingness to learn APIs
- At least 10 hours per week

Video and Short Form Intern
Turn TCB stories into scripts and edits for YouTube Shorts and Reels. A 150 word article becomes a 60 second video. You help write it, cut it, and caption it.
- Can edit with CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, or similar
- An eye for pacing and hooks
- Interest in explaining finance or tech simply
- At least 8 hours per week

Design and Visuals Intern
Create the visuals that make TCB stories travel: social graphics and LinkedIn carousels that turn data into something people share.
- Working knowledge of Canva, Figma, or Photoshop
- A portfolio, even if it is only class or personal projects
- Feel for clean, editorial design
- At least 8 hours per week

Newsletter and Email Intern
Help produce The Daily Brief. Curate stories, write subject lines and previews, test send times, and learn what makes people open and forward an email.
- Reads newsletters closely and can say why some work
- Tight, clean copywriting
- Basic spreadsheet comfort for open and click data
- At least 6 hours per week

Partnerships and Outreach Intern
Support TCB’s digital PR and authority building: research relevant sites, write personalised outreach, and track which pitches earn links.
- Polite and persistent, with a knack for clear short emails
- Organised enough to run a tracking sheet
- Interest in media, PR, or marketing
- At least 8 hours per week
