Corrections Policy

The Central Bulletin is committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. Accuracy is a core part of our editorial standards, and when we fall short, we say so clearly.

How We Handle Errors

Minor corrections

Typographical errors, spelling mistakes, and minor factual inaccuracies (such as an incorrect date or figure that does not materially affect the substance of the article) are corrected silently and promptly.

Factual corrections

Where a factual error materially affects the substance or meaning of an article, we add a clearly labelled correction notice at the top of the article. The notice states what was incorrect and what the correct information is, along with the date of the correction. The original text may be struck through rather than deleted, so readers can see what changed.

Significant corrections

Where an error is serious enough to have misled readers on a matter of material importance, we publish a standalone correction article and link to it from the original piece.

Article updates

Developing stories are updated as new information becomes available. Updates are noted at the top of the article with a timestamp. We distinguish between updates (new information) and corrections (fixing errors).

How to Report an Error

If you believe we have made an error, please contact us at info@thecentralbulletin.com with the subject line Correction Request. Please include:

  • The URL of the article containing the error
  • A description of what you believe is incorrect
  • Supporting evidence or sources where possible

We aim to respond to all correction requests within 48 hours.

What We Will Not Change

We do not alter the editorial content of published articles in response to pressure from subjects of coverage, advertisers, or third parties. Requests to remove accurate, fairly reported content will not be acted upon. If you have a legal concern, please contact us at info@thecentralbulletin.com.
